Over the festive period, I was contacted by constituents whose work in the creative industries was severely impacted by the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 regulations. I contacted both Creative Scotland and Kate Forbes MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy, as a matter of urgency. I have received the following reply from the Scottish Government, which I would encourage all of my constituents to read if they work in the creative industries and require financial support.
In December, I also wrote to Kate Forbes MSP regarding my constituents’ serious concerns that the December and January Business Support Top Up is not enough to support the hospitality sector after the impact of Omicron restrictions. You can see my letter here.
